“Things do not always go according to plan.”
David Richo from The Five Things We Cannot Change…
The plan has always been for boomers to transition to smaller, one-story homes in
the last phase of life. The underlying assumption of downsizing was that there would always be a sufficient inventory of these cozy senior bungalows for the last iteration of aging in place. There appears to have been a change of plans. I’ll let Major Dave explain it to you…
Enjoy the video,
Hi Major Dave!
I love the video on Dilemmas of Aging, Downsizing. My husband and I retired and we did move into a single story home with no stairs. But I had to let go more of my stuff plus I inherited a lot of stuff from my parents home. Good news is that there are many thrift/vintage stores in my area so I was able to donate to a good cause. I still have a lot of stuff and my husband said that if I die, he is going to throw it out! So I’m in the process of developing a plan. No one thinks about what is going to happen to all your precious things. I decided to give away to those I want to have it. Looking forward to seeing your other videos. Lucinda
